MEET MINDBERRY
PROBLEM
There’s a significant shortage of psychiatrists in our country, which makes primary care physicians (PCPs) the first line of defense for mental health. In fact, PCPs prescribe 80% of all antidepressants in America. However, compared to a psychiatrist, PCPs have significantly less training in mental health, and spend 15 minutes per patient to both diagnose and find the right treatment. As a result, half of the cases of depression and anxiety are misdiagnosed or undiagnosed in primary care visits. But even with the appropriate diagnosis, 70% of patients don’t get better after the initial treatment.
OUR VISION
MindBerry wants to help PCPs provide the best possible mental healthcare to their patients. We transcribe patient-physician conversations so PCPs spend more quality time with their patients. Our AI identifies speech biomarkers for mental health risk so no patient goes undiagnosed. Finally, our decision support searches through hundreds of pages of psychiatric guidelines to augment physicians ability to accurately diagnose and select personalized mental health treatment for their patients.

We uphold strict standards for safeguarding health data, which meet or exceed all legal requirements (including GDPR & CCPA). MindBerry is building a PIPEDA, PHIPA, and HIPAA compliant solution and is working with independent third parties to ensure complete compliance and security. We encrypt, anonymize, and de-identify data and strip away all personally identifiable information. Physicians and patients have full transparency into what data is being collected, and no information is collected without their consent.
